Pireaus Chess Club
The Piraeus Chess Club (P.O.S.) is the oldest chess club today with a continuous and uninterrupted presence in the chess life of the area, approaching nearly 40 [Editor's Note: already 77] years! It is the only one that has survived from the clubs of the first period, which founded the Greek Chess Federation [1948].Therefore, it rightfully takes the title of the most historic Greek club, as its journey is intertwined with the history of Greek Chess (Kostas Chatziotis, Chess in Greece, Skyfos Publications, Athens 1984).
Chess Lessons in Piraeus
The training program began at the Piraeus Chess Club's venue.
Chess techniques and strategy are taught in small groups for both beginners and advanced players. We have groups for kids and adults. There are also groups for preschool-age children.
